Everything we run, in one place. On-resort days start at $20 and are the best place to begin. Backcountry programs are fully guided days beyond the resort. If our fee is a barrier on any of them, our fee is waived in full, no questions asked.

On-resort days

A half-day of ski touring or splitboarding at a partner mountain, led by trained volunteers. Every one of them is no-drop. You need no uphill experience at all, and you do need to be able to get yourself down a blue square trail.

  • On resort, $20

    Open to All

Our most beginner-friendly day, and the best place to start. Four mountains, every weekend of the season. No experience needed.

  • On resort, $20

    Women's Programs

A no-drop day for women and nonbinary participants, led by women volunteers. Mt. Abram, Cranmore and Dartmouth Skiway, plus a guided backcountry day.

  • On resort, $20

    Queer and Trans Programs

Affirming days for LGBTQ+ participants at Mt. Abram, including a Trans Touring day run with Kindling Collective.

  • On resort, $20

    BIPOC Programs

A day built for and led by BIPOC skiers and splitboarders, on resort at Mt. Abram and in the backcountry on Mt. Washington.

  • On resort, $20

    Masters Programs

For skiers and splitboarders 40 and over. Same instruction, same pace of the group, a crowd closer to your age. Mt. Abram only.

Backcountry programs and courses

Fully guided days on Mt. Washington with professional guides, operating under a White Mountain National Forest permit. Our Intro days stay out of avalanche terrain and do not require you to own a beacon. For these you do need to be comfortable descending black diamond terrain, because the way down is real riding.

  • Backcountry, $150

    Intro to Backcountry

A fully guided first day beyond the resort on Mt. Washington. No avalanche terrain, no beacon required. Ten scholarships are shared across all four Intro days.

  • Backcountry, $150

    Women's Intro to Backcountry

The same guided first day beyond the resort, in an all-women and nonbinary group, led by women guides.

  • Backcountry, $100

    Queer Intro to Backcountry

Two dates, run with Kindling Collective and with All Outdoors Collective. Reduced price.

  • Backcountry, $100

    BIPOC Intro to Backcountry

A guided first day beyond the resort for BIPOC skiers and splitboarders, led by BIPOC guides. Reduced price.

  • Course, $175 or $225

Intro to Ski and Snowboard Mountaineering

A step past touring, into bigger terrain with crampons and an axe. Run with Northeast Mountaineering. $225 includes all technical rental gear.

  • Course, $275

    AIARE Level 1

The standard entry point into avalanche education in North America. Offered once a season at a reduced rate to people who have toured with us.

  • Guided, from $300

A private or group guided day

The same guided day beyond the resort, on a weekday, for people you bring yourself. $300 for up to three, then $100 each, to a maximum of eight.

Uphill access, which is not in the $20

Every on-resort day has a second cost: the resort's own uphill access, which is never included in our fee. You either buy a ticket on the day or you carry an Uphill New England season pass, which is valid at all four. Ticket prices differ at every mountain, so here they are in full.

Mt. Abram
$15 or a pass
Ticket bought online in advance or in person that morning.
Cranmore
$19 or a pass
Ticket bought in person at the window that morning.
Dartmouth Skiway
Free
Dartmouth gives our participants free uphill access.
Bromley
$20 or a pass
Bought in person, and the $20 applies toward a full lift ticket if you stay.

An Uphill New England season pass is valid at all four of our partner mountains, so if you are coming to more than a couple of days it is usually the cheaper route.

Every individual program page carries a full cost table: our fee, the uphill access and the rental price for that mountain, added up, with no surprises on the morning.
