Who we are
We hold the price down so more people can get on snow
Inclusive Ski Touring is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in Hanover, Maine. We run low-cost uphill skiing and splitboarding days at four partner mountains, and guided days in the backcountry on Mt. Washington. Since 2022, 2,089 unique participants have toured with us.
We charge $20 for an on-resort day and $150 for a guided day in the backcountry, or $100 for our Queer and BIPOC Intro to Backcountry days. Donors, sponsors, partner mountains and volunteers close the gap, which came to $83,905 last season. On top of our fee you buy an uphill ticket from the resort, and a rental if you need one. Every program page adds all three up before you book.
If our fee is the part that would stop you, on an on-resort day it is waived in full and on a backcountry day a scholarship covers it. All of our programming is provided at no cost to Indigenous individuals.
Most people start with one of our on-resort programs and progress into the backcountry from there. Past that: ski and splitboard mountaineering, AIARE Level 1 avalanche education, and affinity days all season for our Women’s, Queer, BIPOC and Masters programs.

Last season, our community turned $77,630 into $249,763 of value.
That is $3.22 of subsidized instruction, volunteer expertise and local impact for every dollar raised. Last season, holding fees below market cost $137 per subsidized participant, across 613 people.
