Intro to Backcountry Night
A night for Portland’s uphill community at Allspeed Cyclery and Snow: a talk at 6:30pm on getting into the backcountry, five brands at the tables, free drinks, and over $2,000 in raffle prizes for IST. Free, and open to all ages.
What the night is
One evening at the shop for skiers and splitboarders who are curious about the backcountry, and for the ones already out there looking for people to go with. Come for the talk, meet the brands Allspeed carries and the people who use them, have a drink on us, and stay for the raffle. There is no entry fee. What you give on the night, in donations and raffle tickets, goes to Inclusive Ski Touring’s programs.

From the brands below, with more from the brands at the tables. Every ticket goes to Inclusive Ski Touring’s programs. Drawn at the end of the night; you need to be there to win.
Before you come
Does it cost anything?
No. There is no entry fee, no ticket and no signup; just come. The drinks are free too. Donations to IST are welcome on the night, and raffle tickets are $5 each, 5 for $20 or 30 for $100.
Can I bring my kids?
Yes. The night is open to all ages. Beer is served to those 21 and over, with ID.
I have never been in the backcountry. Is this for me?
Yes, whether you have never toured or you tour every weekend. The talk is about getting started, and the people at the tables are there to answer the questions you have.
How do I give or buy raffle tickets?
At the IST table, by Venmo with the QR code, by card through Square, or in cash. There is a donation jar on the table as well.
Do I have to be there to win the raffle?
Yes. The draw is at the end of the night, and you need to be in the room to win.
