Women’s Programs

Our on resort Women’s Programs are offered at partner mountains across the Northeast, including Mt. Abram (ME), Cranmore (NH), and Dartmouth Skiway (NH). We also offer Women’s Intro to Backcountry Programs on Mt. Washington (NH) for those who want a guided next step beyond the resort. Each are designed for women and non-binary individuals who want to learn uphill travel, connect with others who share their identities and experiences, and/or simply tour with a supportive community. They follow the same welcoming, low barrier model used across all IST programs.

Programs require advance registration and have limited capacity.

  • Mt. Abram (ME)

Mt. Abram was IST’s first partner mountain and is still the location where we offer the most programs.

  • Cranmore (NH)

Cranmore is our busiest New Hampshire location and a core hub for IST in the Mount Washington Valley.

  • Dartmouth Skiway (NH)

Dartmouth Skiway is a growing partner location for IST in the Upper Valley, and this season we are working with them more than ever.

  • Women's Intro to Backcountry Program

Offering participants a structured, East Coast focused entry into traveling beyond the resort.

Our Women’s Programs are made possible in part through support from Blizzard Tecnica’s Women 2 Women program and the Hilaree Nelson Fund, which helps us keep these days welcoming, low barrier, and financially accessible. We are deeply grateful for this partnership and the direct impact it has on who is able to show up, learn, and tour in community.
