BIPOC Touring Day Recap

March 1, 2025

On Saturday, March 1, 2025, we hosted our second BIPOC Touring Day of the 2025 season at Mt. Abram in Greenwood, Maine in partnership with Mardi Fuller. This event was designed to create a welcoming and empowering space for BIPOC individuals to experience the joy of ski touring and splitboarding while building community in the outdoors.

We were thrilled to welcome 19 individuals, who spent the day learning new skills and connecting with the growing BIPOC touring community. To make the event more accessible, Inclusive Ski Touring covered the cost of all uphill tickets and uphill rentals for this day.

This event was about more than just touring—it was about representation, learning, and strengthening community connections in the outdoors. We are incredibly grateful to Mardi Fuller and our lead volunteers Stuart and Tim for volunteering their time and leadership.

Our BIPOC Program Days would not be possible without the generous support of Blizzard Tecnica, ISP Advisors, Lawson’s Finest Liquids, and L.L.Bean. Their contributions help us continue creating opportunities for BIPOC communities to access and enjoy the outdoors.

Enjoy the photos below, capturing moments of joy and connection on the snow!

Stay tuned for more events and programs as we continue our commitment to making the outdoors more accessible and welcoming for all.
