Policies
No Drop Policy
At Inclusive Ski Touring, no participant will ever be dropped or rushed. Our guides and volunteers ensure everyone moves at a comfortable pace and feels supported throughout the experience. We believe that ski touring and splitboarding is for everyone, and our No-Drop Policy reflects our dedication to fostering a community where all participants feel valued, supported, and empowered to enjoy the outdoors
No Apology Policy
We encourage participants to avoid apologizing during our tours. Instead of saying, “sorry I’m slow,” try saying, “thank you for waiting.” Similarly, replace “sorry I couldn’t figure out my binding” with “thank you for helping me.” This no-apology, no-drop policy aligns with our philosophy that everyone deserves to be part of the ski touring and split-boarding community, regardless of skill or pace.
Free Programming for Indigenous Peoples
As part of our commitment to equity and repair, Inclusive Ski Touring provides all of our programming at no cost to Indigenous peoples. This policy is an intentional act of reparations, acknowledging the enduring impacts of colonization on Indigenous communities and lands.
Practices
Financially Accessible Programming for All
On-Resort Programs: In alignment with our mission, our On-Resort Programs are offered at just $20, significantly below the average cost of similar programs, which is $70. If the $20 fee presents a challenge, participants can use the code “inclusive2025” at checkout to have the fee waived by Inclusive Ski Touring.
Intro to Backcountry Programs: The typical cost of a comparable Intro to Backcountry Program in the United States ranges from $200 to $350. In alignment with our mission to make backcountry skiing and splitboarding more accessible, we offer this program at just $150 to keep it more accessible. However, we understand that this reduced cost does still present a financial barrier. To address this, we proudly offer eight scholarships for the program. If selected, Inclusive Ski Touring will cover 100% of the program fee, ensuring no financial obstacles prevent participation.
Programming for Underrepresented Athletes
We are proud to offer programs that create opportunities for individuals historically underrepresented in outdoor spaces. Many of these initiatives are run in partnership with outside organizations, ensuring we best serve the communities we aim to support. These programs provide a welcoming and affirming environment, and to increase accessibility, we open participation to individuals without prior downhill skiing or snowboarding experience. Our goal is to break down barriers and foster an inclusive community where everyone can explore and thrive in the outdoors.
Land Acknowledgment
Our events takes place on N’dakinna, the traditional ancestral homeland of the Abenaki, Pennacook and Wabanaki Peoples past and present. We acknowledge and honor with gratitude the land, waterways, and people who have stewarded it throughout the generations.
We invite our participants to do the same by learning more and taking actionable steps:
