Mt. Abram, Greenwood, Maine
Mt. Abram was our first partner mountain and it is still where we run the most programs, six of them, more than the other three resorts combined. It is a classic, family-friendly Maine ski area with a down-to-earth feel and a base lodge that makes it easy to arrive not knowing anybody. If you are choosing a first day with us and the drive works, this is the one to choose, because there is almost always a program running.

Everything else about this mountain
Getting there
Mt. Abram is at 308 Howe Hill Road, Greenwood, Maine 04255. Park in the main lot and come into the main lodge. Cubbies are available for your things.
The mountain's own site is www.mtabram.com, which is where lift hours, conditions and their own uphill rules live.
The uphill route we use
We use the approved Easy Rider uphill route, about 1.5 miles with roughly 1,000 feet of climbing. Check-in is 8:15 to 8:45 in the main lodge and we aim to be on snow by 9:00.
Uphill policy, for your own days here
If you want to uphill here on your own time rather than on one of our days, read Mt. Abram's own uphill and responsibility policy first. It is their mountain and their rules, and our programs run because we follow them.
Renting gear here
Uphill rentals come from the Mt. Abram rental shop and must be reserved online in advance, because they go first come, first served. Pickup opens at 8:00 on the morning of the program. See rentals and sizing for what to ask for.
Staying nearby
Our two Maine lodging partners, the Maine Roadhouse and the Hostel of Maine, are both in the Carrabassett Valley, which is a little over an hour from Greenwood, so they suit a longer Maine trip rather than a night before a Mt. Abram morning. See lodging and accommodations.
