Cranmore, North Conway, New Hampshire
Cranmore is our Mount Washington Valley mountain, and it is the easiest of the four to build a weekend around, because North Conway has everything and Pinkham Notch is up the road. We run Open to All and Women's days here through the season.
Programs we run here
-

Open to All
Open to everyone, no experience needed.
-

Women's Program
Women and nonbinary participants, led by women volunteers. This is the most complete program page on our site and it was the model for the rest.
Everything else about this mountain
Getting there
Cranmore Mountain Resort is in North Conway, New Hampshire. Park in the main lot and come into the base lodge.
The mountain's own site is www.cranmore.com, which is where lift hours, conditions and their own uphill rules live.
The uphill route we use
Check-in is 8:45 to 9:15 in the base lodge and we aim to be on snow by 9:30. Cranmore starts thirty minutes later than our other mountains, so do not arrive at 8:15 expecting us. Most groups are back at the lodge around midday.
Uphill policy, for your own days here
Uphill access here needs a ticket from the window and follows Cranmore's own uphill policy. The Good Uphilling Guide from Uphill New England is the best single summary of how to behave on an uphill route at any resort that allows one, and it is worth reading once.
Renting gear here
There is no IST rental partner at Cranmore, so bring your own setup or rent in North Conway. Mountain Sports Lab rents touring gear locally. See rentals and sizing.
Staying nearby
The COHO Hostel is fifteen minutes away and gives our participants 15% off, and the Northeast Mountaineering Bunkhouse is nearby with 33% off. See lodging and accommodations.
