Safety Policy of Inclusive Ski Touring

Our partnered ski areas fully support individuals seeking to experience uphill touring and are working directly with us to provide these opportunities. All uphill travel is done at each individual’s own risk. In order keep a safe and welcoming environment Inclusive Ski Touring participants must adhere to the following guidelines:

  1. You are required to have an uphill access pass and have filled out the waiver.

  2. As a skier or snowboarder you must abide by “Your Responsibility Code”.

  3. Uphill travel equipment is required to have metal edges, a retaining device or brakes and an industry approved binding. This includes AT skis, tele skis, split-boards, and snowshoes. Snow bikes and fat bikes are not allowed. Rental equipment is available for each program.

  4. Uphill access is restricted to the designated uphill tracks. While participating in group programs, you are expected to follow the group tour leader.

  5. You must ensure that you are visible to downhill traffic at all times when on groomed terrain. Entering closed terrain is prohibited.

  6. For the safety of pets and guests, dogs are not allowed.

  7. Inclusive Ski Touring is focused on providing welcoming group tours for absolutely everyone, an inclusive mindset to others must be maintained while participating. Negative attitudes towards others will not be tolerated.

  8. While we encourage anyone interested in touring to get out with us, we also recognize ski touring is an activity that requires physical exertion. Because of this, participants at the minimum must be in reasonably good health with the ability to walk slowly up the mountain.
