Bring your group, your team or your organization
We run private touring days for businesses, nonprofits, schools, clubs and community organizations who want to get a group of people on snow together. You bring the people, we bring the guides, the teaching and the no-drop culture.
Who books these
Employers running a team day that is not a ropes course. Nonprofits and community organizations who want to get their people outside. Schools and colleges. Outdoor clubs and affinity groups who want an introduction led by our volunteers before going out on their own. Gear brands and shops running a staff or customer day.
The common thread is that somebody has a group of people, most of whom have never toured, and wants a day that works for all of them rather than only for the two fittest.
What a group day includes
- Trained volunteers at a ratio that suits your group, arranged in advance.
- Instruction from the ground up: skins, uphill technique, transitions at the top.
- A no-drop day. The group moves at the pace of the slowest person and regroups together. Nobody in your group gets left behind and nobody is made to feel slow in front of colleagues.
- Coordination with the mountain, including the uphill route and the ticketing.
- Help sourcing rental gear for everybody who needs it, at our partner rates.
- A photographer on request, so you have something to use afterwards.
Group size, ability and mixed groups
Eight to thirty works well. Below eight, one of our scheduled public days is usually a better experience for your people and much cheaper. Above thirty, we would split you across two dates rather than run a group that cannot regroup.
Everybody in the group needs to be able to get themselves down a blue square trail, because we teach uphill travel and we are not downhill instructors. Mixed ability is completely fine on the way up, and it is the thing we are best at.
If part of your group cannot descend under your own control at all, tell us early. Sometimes the answer is a shorter route and a shuttle down, and sometimes the honest answer is that this is not the right activity for that person. We will tell you which rather than let somebody have a bad day.
What it costs
We price group days at our standard, undiscounted rate, which is the fair market value of the day rather than the subsidized $20 our public programs run at. On resort that is $150 a person, with a $200 minimum for the day. In the backcountry it is $255 a person. So the cost depends on how many people you bring.

Uphill access and rental gear are separate and are set by the mountain and the shop rather than by us. Tickets are $15 at Mt. Abram, $19 at Cranmore, $20 at Bromley which then applies toward a lift ticket, and free at Dartmouth Skiway, and an Uphill New England season pass covers all four instead. Rentals run from effectively free at Cranmore, thanks to Mountain Sports Lab, to $75 at Bromley. Every mountain's exact numbers are on its venue page.
This is the one thing we sell at full price, and that is deliberate. What your organization pays is what subsidizes somebody else's $20 day. In 2026 we subsidized participants by $83,905 in total, and days like this are part of how that is funded.

If you want the backcountry instead
A group of one to six who already tour and want a guided day beyond the resort on Mt. Washington is a different product, and it is our Private Intro to Backcountry. Everybody in that group needs to be comfortable on black diamond terrain.
